What body-to-body massage is
Body-to-body — usually shortened to B2B — describes the contact rather than the oil or the room. In a conventional oil massage the therapist works with hands, forearms and elbows. In a B2B massage the forearms, torso and the full length of the body become the pressure surface, gliding along the back, shoulders and legs instead of pressing into single points.
The effect is broader and warmer than a deep-tissue treatment. Pressure is spread across a wide area rather than concentrated, which is why guests who find traditional Thai massage too sharp often prefer it. It is a relaxation massage, not a therapeutic or medical one, so it is a reasonable choice at the end of a long day rather than a fix for an injury.
How a session works
You are shown the menu and the rooms available at reception. Once you have chosen, you go up to the room and shower first — warm skin takes oil far better than cold skin, and the massage is more comfortable for it.
The massage begins face down. Warm oil is applied along the back and legs, and the therapist works from the shoulders downward before turning to the front. Sessions run 60 or 90 minutes; the 90-minute booking leaves room for a longer warm-up and a soak in the tub afterwards. There is a second shower at the end, and towels and amenities are laid out fresh for every guest.

B2B is the driest and the simplest of the three, and it is usually the one first-time guests are most comfortable with. Soapy is the warmest and the most Bangkok. Nuru gel is the most slippery, and the session is longer because the gel needs warming and rinsing.
