Once you know what needs improvement, try this stretch: Squeeze your shoulder blades behind you as you interlace your thumbs behind your back. (don’t forget to switch sides) as you do this roll your shoulders back and down.

The best stretch for improving posture is the chest opener. To do this, take your hands and place them behind your back with your thumbs interlocked. This will open up your chest and shoulders, allowing you to stand up straight.

To make sure that these stretches are actually improving your posture, check in with the mirror every 10-15 minutes or so throughout the day. If you notice any improvement, great—keep doing what you’re doing! If not, try adjusting one thing at a time until something clicks for you. For example: If stretching out isn’t helping much but rolling back and down does seem to help some, then focus on rolling instead until it feels more comfortable for a few days before returning to stretching again.
