If you want to improve your posture, the first step is to know what your current posture looks like. To do this, stand in front of a mirror and look at yourself from head to toe. Make sure that you’re standing up straight with your shoulders back and down. If you’re slouching or have any other issues with your posture, take note of them.

If you want to improve your posture, the first step is to know what your current posture looks like. To do this, stand in front of a mirror and look at yourself from head to toe. Make sure that you’re standing up straight with your shoulders back and down. If you’re slouching or have any other issues with your posture, take note of them. Once you know what needs improvement, try this stretch: Squeeze your shoulder blades behind you as you interlace your thumbs behind your back. 

How To Stretch Your Shoulder To Heal Upper Back?

The best stretch for improving posture for upper back pain is the chest opener. To do this, set up some pillows on the floor, and lay with your upper back on them. Then start to splay your arms out to your side and draw a snow angel. This will open up your chest and shoulders, allowing you to stand or sit up more straight.

To make sure that these stretches are actually improving your posture, check in the mirror after you’re done. If you notice any improvement, great—keep doing what you’re doing! If not, try adjusting one thing at a time until something clicks for you.
