Mindfulness Meditation in Portland

In Portland, attending a guided class or retreat can offer a structured and supportive environment, providing a solid foundation for further exploration in the realm of meditation.

Mindfulness can help you focusing one’s attention on the present moment. By cultivating this awareness it is possible to live with a greater sense of clarity and perception. Mindfulness can also reduce stress, anxiety, and improve your sleep.

Often times we get distracted when we meditate, and mindfulness helps us be aware of our natural tendency to do that, and then come back to the present through breathing and body scanning.

Meditation centers in Portland offer classes, places to vibe out and meditate. These centers also have great teachers that teach beginning and advance classes.

Soaking In Natural Hot Springs near Portland

If you’re in Portland, Oregon, there are some great natural hotsprings that are only a few hours’ drive away include Bagby, Breitenbush, and Umpqua.

Soaking in these hot springs can be really good for your health! And the natural surroundings create a peaceful atmosphere that’s perfect for unwinding.

Some hot springs have specific times they’re open, while others might require a permit or have rules about drinking or taking off your clothes. Be sure to respect these rules, the other people there, and the environment.

Don’t use soap or anything else that could hurt the hot springs. And always pack out your trash when you leave.

Two places to try:

1. Bagby Hotsprings

“Frequently referred to as a Portlander rite of passage, Babgy hot springs is Oregon’s most popular public hot springs. A 1.5-mile hike through a tranquil old-growth forest leads to a variety of hot pools and soaking options at Bagby hot springs. Ease your tired muscles into a hollowed-out log filled with hot water in private or enjoy a soak with friends old and new in a whiskey barrel-style hot tub.

There’s an actual backpacker campground just a quarter mile past the hot springs if you are up for backpacking. That is if you don’t feel like camping at the trailhead. Bagby is rare in that it is available for a hot soak 24/7 while most public hot springs in Oregon are closed at night.” – https://soakoregon.com/hot-springs-near-portland/

Breitenbush hot springs feature abundant hot soaking pools, overnight accommodations, a vegetarian buffet and access to yoga and meditation programs. Add to that a 150-acre wildlife sanctuary, 20 miles of trails, campgrounds, dorms, a conference center and even a gift shop. All of these add up to the largest private geothermal facility in the Pacific Northwest.  – https://breitenbush.com/ quote from https://soakoregon.com

With more than 80 miles of trails, it also provides invaluable access to nature, exercise, and educational opportunities for the region.” https://www.portland.gov/parks/forest-park

“This is an amazing gorge hike with several beautiful waterfalls, including one that users can walk behind. This trail begins at Eagle Creek Campground and ends at Wahtum Lake. This is a nice out and back hike with great scenery of waterfalls, ferns, and rocky outcroppings. It is quite popular with easy vehicle access at the trailhead, so plan to see a lot of other hikers and is part of the Pacific Crest Trail. This hike is not far from Portland and is best in the spring or early summer to really appreciate the beautiful waterfalls.” https://www.alltrails.com/trail/us/oregon/eagle-creek-trail

Wow! My massage with Mason was healing on so many levels! He addressed the spots of tension and diligently worked to remind my muscles that it’s okay to relax. He was very attentive to my needs and comfort.
    Immerse is definitely an appropriate
… More name for this space as you are enveloped in delightfully warm infrared heat (through amethyst crystals!), the soothing sounds of a waterfall, and a sound bath of vibrations coming directly from the table!
The thoughtful intention put in to making Immerse Modern Massage the healing environment that is it is apparent and very much appreciated!

Wow! Walking into Immerse Modern Massage, my entire body immediately relaxed right at the front door. The aromatherapy is so intoxicating and soothing, and the ambiance is very nice. Walking into the treatment room was even better. They … More really did such a good job with the place! Not to mention the massage table! Omg, it felt so incredible to be sandwiched in between healing frequencies, warmth, and high vibrations. I can’t wait to go back!!! I was impressed to say the least.

Entering the space I immediately felt calm, the lighting and ambiance was perfect for relaxing. The warmth, low light and wooden ceiling made me feel like I was in a sauna. Mason greeted me and made me feel comfortable as we entered the … More massage room. The bed was heated, with weighted blanket and calming music vibrated the entire bed. I melted away as mason massaged my whole body, taking care to leave me mostly covered under the warm blanket the entire time. He also used heated towels and a wonderful essential oil blend. I felt truly relaxed and my whole body vibrated with warmth and comfort. Would definitely come back again!

Such a lovely experience from beginning to end. The lobby was beautifully decorated with plants, and Mason greeted me with such warmth. The table vibrates with music and is so comfortable and warm. The weighted blankets helped me feel so … More cozy and relaxed. The technique and grounded presence Mason offers is excellent. I especially enjoyed the warm scented towel on my face and neck at the end of the massage. So rejuvenating and relaxing. I felt calm and peaceful. Wholeheartedly recommend!
